FREE Spring Festival with Tea Ceremony, Ikebana Demo, Martial Arts Demo, Japanese Music, Cosplay Costume Contest & Much More.

Sunday, May 14th, 2017 at the Ichimura-Miami Japanese Garden 10am to 5pm

  • Ikebana Demonstration by Grand Master Mieko Kubota (Kids make arrangement for Mom!)
  • Authentic Japanese Tea Ceremony: Directed by Akihiko Kaji
  • Musical Performances by Ms. Ellen Ogihara, violin & Mr. Anthony Corbo, viola
  • Kendo Demonstration: Presented by the Institute of Budo Studies. Kendo is known as Japanese fencing.
  • Iaido Demonstration: Presented by the Institute of Budo Studies. Iaido is an ancient “Quick Draw” sword art
  • Taiko Drummers, featuring Yoshiko Taiko Dojo
  • Fun and colorful Cosplay Costume Contests

Enjoy Japanese Green (Matcha) Tea and Sweets 10am to 3:00pm, or VIP Authentic Tea Ceremony at noon and 1:30pm. $10 per person. CLICK HERE to purchase tickets.

$10 is for the Tea Ceremony only… all of the rest of the festival is free, food will be for sale.
